  • Now on second rotation in LCH.Clearnet, London

“My degree was in Mathematics and Mandarin, which meant there were very few limitations in terms of the potential career paths I could have pursued."

“I was considering various options and was invited to an event at London Stock Exchange through my university’s economics and finance society. LSEG delivered a brilliant presentation and helped me to understand that the Group is about much more than just stock trading. There were so many opportunities on offer and I fell in love with that!"

“My first rotation was with the Group Strategy division, which is a bit like an internal consultancy within LSEG. Different business units come to the team to propose new projects or to discuss issues. There is also M&A work involved as the Group has expanded and made a number of acquisitions in recent years."

“My current rotation is with the Credit Risk team at LCH.Clearnet. It’s a big departure from my last role, as I wanted to get as much exposure to different sides of the business as possible. Our job is to evaluate the risks that the business is exposed to when working with different counterparties, such as some of the major European banks."

“Getting to know the other graduates has been a real highlight of my time here so far and I’ve really enjoyed getting involved in the extracurricular side of things. I recently took part in an LSEG touch rugby tournament, which was a lot of fun. We had training Hyde Park every Wednesday evening with professional coaches. It was a great way to make friends and to meet people from different parts of the Group."

“We’re such a diverse bunch of people from so many different places and backgrounds, but we’ve all gelled really well. It’s a reflection of the culture here at LSEG: the company operates in so many different locations and markets so it’s natural that there’s not a standard type of person we hire. If you look at the leadership team it includes female executives and there are people in senior positions from all over world. This is a big motivation for why I want to develop my career here."
