Changes to standard settlement cycle

On 6 October, standard settlement cycle was changed to T+2 for the majority of instruments on London Stock Exchange including:

  • SETS
  • SETSqx
  • SEAQ (including fixed interest)
  • Trade Reporting Only (including fixed interest)
  • International Order Book
  • Securitised Derivatives
  • Order book for Retail Bonds (ORB) (Corporates)
  • Order book for Fixed Income Securities
  • ETFs (Euroclear Bank Settlement)

IOB equity trading in September 2014

  • IOB cash equity Average Daily Turnover in September 2014 was $641m

IOB Derivatives trading in September 2014

  • September 2014 saw another record reached for Volume in IOB DR futures (+714% on Jan-Sept 13) with 217,418 contracts traded

New members

  • At the end of September 2014, LSE has 361 member firms; 93 members have trading access to IOB (CCP)
  • International Strategy & Investment (UK) Limited and A Vartan Limited became LSE member firms in September
