London Stock Exchange launches ELITE programme

  • London Stock Exchange welcomes ELITE programme participants 2014

Tuesday 29 April 2014

London Stock Exchange Group welcomed ELITE to open trading on London’s financial markets today.

Delivered in collaboration with Imperial College Business School, ELITE is a unique platform to facilitate long-term structured engagement between the UK’s fastest growing companies, industry experts and the corporate advisory and investor community. It aims to help businesses prepare for their next stage of growth and allow them to join an ecosystem that supports innovation and entrepreneurialism at all stages of development.

ELITE is structured in three phases:

  1. Get Ready: A comprehensive program for founders and managers to stimulate organisational review and change.
  2. Get Fit: Reflection on company-specific issues and planning for change with the support of a dedicated external advisory team.
  3. Get Value: Capitalise on the benefits of the first two phases to access new business opportunities and funding options.

A company joining ELITE must be revenue generating, demonstrating significant growth and be willing to commit at the most senior level for a two-year period.

The programme builds on the success of the ELITE Italy programme which was launched in 2012.

The first nineteen companies were formally welcomed to the scheme yesterday by Matthew Hancock MP, Skills and Enterprise Minister,  at the programme’s official launch at Imperial College.  Thirteen companies are located outside London, including three from Scotland. As the initiative develops, multiple cohorts are expected to join every year. The event was hosted by Xavier Rolet, CEO of London Stock Exchange Group and Professor G. ‘Anand’ Anandalingam, Dean of Imperial College Business School.
