London Stock Exchange today welcomed Menhaden Capital plc

The Main Market of London Stock Exchange today welcomed Menhaden Capital plc as it commenced dealings in its shares following its initial public offering (the "IPO"). An investment trust, founded by Ben Goldsmith, Menhaden Capital plc will focus on matching patient capital with investment opportunities created by a global transition to an efficient use of energy and resources.

The fund will invest in opportunities arising from the green industrial revolution: the companies and assets that are benefiting from growing global demand for energy and resource efficiency, such as LED Light bulbs, electricity smart meters, water desalination, and wind farms.

Ben Goldsmith, Chief Executive Officer of Menhaden, commented:

"I am hugely grateful to all of the investors who participated in the IPO of Menhaden Capital. I’m delighted that the company is listing on the London Stock Exchange with a solid capital base of £80 million."

"We are all now excited about getting to work investing in select opportunities arising from the great transition to an energy and resource efficient world."

Menhaden Capital announced on July 29th that it had raised gross proceeds of £80 million in its initial public offering ("IPO") of shares on the London Stock Exchange plc's main market and the Social Stock Exchange Segment of the ICAP Securities & Derivatives Exchange.
