London Stock Exchange today welcomed Paddy Power Betfair plc
London Stock Exchange today welcomed Paddy Power Betfair plc (“PPB” or the “Company”), the international sports betting and gaming operator, to its third day of trading on London Stock Exchange plc’s main market for listed securities.
To celebrate the occasion, Gary McGann, Chairman and Alex Gersh, CFO, and other representatives of the Company joined Nikhil Rathi, CEO of the London Stock Exchange, to open conditional trading in London this morning.
Paddy Power Betfair was formed in February 2016 from the all-share merger of two of the fastest-growing online betting operators in the world; Paddy Power plc and Betfair Group plc.
Paddy Power is an international multi-channel sports betting and gaming group widely seen as one of the most distinctive consumer brands in Europe. Betfair is an innovative online sports betting and gaming operator which pioneered the betting exchange in 2000, changing the landscape of the sports betting industry.
The group also operates the successful Sportsbet business in Australia and the popular TVG horserace betting network in the US, as well as a range of operations across Europe.
The shares debuted on Tuesday 2 February and are traded under the ticker symbol “PPB”.
