London Stock Exchange today welcomes Card Factory plc ("Card Factory"), the UK’s leading specialist retailer of greeting cards, to the premium listing segment of the Official List on the Main Market.

Card Factory commenced operations in 1997 with just one store and has expanded, primarily through organic growth, into a market-leading value retailer with a nationwide presence of over 700 stores.

Card Factory focuses on the value and mid-market segments of the UK’s large, resilient and growing greeting cards market, and also offers a wide range of other quality products, including small gifts and gift dressings, at affordable prices.

As a listed Company Card Factory intends to continue with its clear strategy for future growth building on its strong track record of delivering like-for-like sales growth in existing stores, expanding the existing store portfolio organically to up to c.1,200 stores in the UK and Republic of Ireland, capturing a greater share of the small but growing complementary online market (through the Group‘s websites www.gettingpersonal.co.uk and www.cardfactory.eu.com and maintaining and, where possible, improving the Group’s best-in-class EBITDA margins through an ongoing focus on business efficiencies.
