London Stock Exchange welcomes Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK

10,000 Small Businesses UK is a comprehensive programme of business development and leadership support for small businesses with high growth potential, designed to help them achieve that potential. Launched in 2010 the programme has to date supported more than 1,000 entrepreneurs across the country.  Initially focused on four regional hubs, the programme last year expanded to a national model, expanding its reach and welcoming businesses from across the UK.  10KSB UK is led by Oxford Saïd Business School, with support from Aston University and Leeds University Business School

The 10KSB UK programme seeks to drive participants’ business growth by encouraging the development and application of key management practices and business strategies within their businesses. Through 10KSB UK, participants identify and execute the steps necessary to enable them to scale their ventures, access capital, create employment and expand to new markets.  The goal is for each business to create a business growth plan to guide their business for future growth.

To make the programme accessible to businesses regardless of location, the 100-hour curriculum is delivered through a blended online and in-person model. Throughout the 4-month programme, participants attend three residential sessions over 7 days, and undertake 5 full weeks of online learning.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK is pleased to attend the London Stock Exchange Market Open and to partner with the LSE to support high growth small businesses in accessing finance and sourcing the financing opportunities needed to scale their businesses.

“We are delighted to partner with the London Stock Exchange to support UK small businesses at a key time in unlocking the next stage of their growth. We believe this is a great opportunity to further support small business development and drive economic growth in the UK.” – Michelle Pinggera, Partner, Goldman Sachs
