London Stock Exchange welcomes Israeli IPO Delegation to market opening
Today London Stock Exchange was opened by a delegation of CEOs/CFOs of Israeli companies, together with HM Ambassador to Israel Matthew Gould. The Israeli companies are considering opportunities for raising capital in London.
The delegates are in London for an IPO seminar at the London Stock Exchange, after which they will participate in 3 days of meetings with investors, underwriters, advisers and analysts.
The visit of this Israeli delegation was organised by Adv Amira Bardichev, Senior Trade Advisor at the British Embassy in Israel (UK Trade & Investment). Ms Bardichev specializes in capital markets and project finance sectors, and several years ago she established an Israel Desk at the London Stock Exchange, where she was responsible for a large number of international IPOs.
During their visit to the City, the companies will receive on the spot feedback from market experts regarding their suitability for the IPO process. Their meetings with the underwriters will cover specific information about the IPO process, listing requirements, timetables, costs and the options available for them to raise capital on the London markets. In addition the companies will meet with analysts who will then provide research notes regarding the potential of the prospective issuers to raise capital in London.
Since the beginning of this year 8 additional Israeli companies have listed on the Main and the AIM markets, raising a total of £535M GB Pounds, with a combined market capitalization of a total figure of £1.3 Billion GB Pounds. The successful listing of Plus500 in 2013, which is valued today at £600M GB Pounds, has created a stir in the market and revived interest in IPO opportunities for Israeli companies looking to raise capital internationally. The main “hot” sectors are FinTech and Ad Tech.
