Charles Dow wrote in the early editorials of the Wall Street Journal, and his findings formed the foundation of modern technical analysis, known as Dow Theory. Dow Theory covers short, intermediate, and long-term trends, market cycles, volume interpretation, momentum, and more, and without a sound knowledge of these fundamental concepts, you cannot properly conduct technical analysis.
